Men's Basketball Wins in Superb 74-57 Performance against Shorter
Lockesburg, Ark. - UA Cossatot men's basketball gained a win to stay alive Monday night, defeating Shorter College-57 at the Bank of Lockesbueg Gymnasium.

The Colts (11-17, 5-11 Region 2) went out front earlier and never looked back, completing the Sweep of the Bulldogs (13-10, 7-9 Region 2).
An early barrage of Devean Newton three-pointers single-handedly gave UAC a 9=-0 lead, forcing Shorter into a timeout just 2:29 into the game.
The Colts dominated the first half, leading 42-25 over Shorter, with Newton going 7-10 and 6-9 on threes for 20 points. In addition, John Ateny had eight points and RJ Patton had four assists.
UAC remained dominant throughout, as they won 74-57. Newton led with 20 points, while Dylan Glover scored 12. Ateny grabbed 10 rebounds while Patton led with four assists.
The Colts are back in action for Sophomore day on Wednesday, playing against North Arkansas at 5:30 p.m. UAC's sophomores are Dylan Glover, RJ Patton, Knighten Day, John Ateny and Ephraim Udanyi.
