Women's Basketball Falls 70-45 to Southern University-Shreveport
Lockesburg, Ark. - UA Cossatot women's basketball played their second home game of the season, losing 70-45 to Southern University-Shreveport at the Lockesburg Bank Gymnasium.

The Colts (0-2) were up early on the Jaguars (1-2) but SUSLA managed to turn things around and take control of the game for the final three quarters.
UAC had a good go of things in the first quarter, leading 19-11 after the first 10 minutes on the back of stellar guard play from freshmen Niylah Jones and Chanice Jones.
This lead tightened in the second quarter, as a 19-13 quarter for SUSLA made it a 32-30 game at halftime. Chanice Jones led the Colts with 13 first-half points.
The Jaguars continued to outplay the Colts in the third quarter, as they outscored Cossatot 19-5 in the 10 minutes after halftime for a 49-37 lead heading into the final quarter.
UAC could not close the gap in the fourth, ultimately falling 67-45.
Chanice Jones led the Colts with 13 points.
The Colts will head to the road on Friday, as Cossatot will play Murray State College, with tip-off in Tishomingo, Oklahoma set for 5:30 p.m.
