The Colts (4-8) were in it for the majority match, as the Bobcats (13-5-2) took the win after scoring penalty kick just after halftime and tacking on another goal later in the half before scoring a third on a penalty kick later on in the half.
The first half was on the quieter side, though both sides had chances as Mary Ramirez and Francesca Dorreus combined for three shots while Nahomie Ambroise made a 45th minute save to keep the score level going into halftime.
Shortly after halftime JC got on the board, scoring on a penalty kick less than a minute into the second half.
The Bobcats followed this up with a 69th minute goal, and secured their win with another goal from the spot in the 80th minute.
Ambroise made 12 saves in goal.
In just their third season in existence the Colts made history, winning their conference Championship via a 4-1 away win over National Park College (Oct. 1) and a 7-1 home clincher over the Nighthawks (Oct. 25). Cossatot then booked their ticket to the National Championships on November 8, when Angeline Gustave's double overtime free kick from UAC's half gave the 10-player Colts the District Championship over No. 9 St. Charles, despite playing the majority of the game down a player after a red card.
Head Coach Justin Hinman and Assistant Franklin Bahena's Colts will look to use this season as a launching pad, as the 2026 season will begin in 9 month
